AL LEWIS PATIENT/CLIENT I am writing this letter to recommend to you Troy Readinger who worked for my late husband, Al Lewis, as a LPN/medical assistant and companion from February 2004 until February 2006. In this capacity he monitored Al's vital signs and administered his many medications. He also massaged, fed and helped Al in numerous other ways such as changing linens and clothes, sponge bathing and moving Al to help pressure ulcers. He also assisted in moving/transferring my husband from bed to wheelchair. Since Al had a heart condition, Troy was a great help when it came to watching out for any signs of distress and also keeping Al's doctors informed of any changes in his condition. It was a great comfort to Al and I knowing that he was in Troy's care. Troy was responsible to Al's needs, which were at times continuous and numerous, and that he was responsible , dependable, mature and caring. Troy was interested in medical treatment and made a practice of learning more about my husband's condition in order to improve his quality of life. Caring for Al for the long shifts that Troy covered also required management skills , as appointments had to be confirmed, drugs checked and prescriptions renewed, ambulances verified, and over-the-counter items ordered. This was a great help because he knew everything would be managed under Troy's care. In addition, Troy brought humor and warmth to the job, making my husband's chronic illness easier to bear . Troy Readinger is a people person and would further any work environment he served. He is a compassionate human being who cares about his clients.
